Ecotherapy
As a seasonal psychotherapist I observe and honour the annual cycle of the seasons. This allows me to celebrate my connection with nature, and explore symbolism and meaning in personal growth and clinical practice.
Human beings are deeply intertwined with the rhythm of the land, and we can use the outward changes in nature to reflect the growth and evolution experienced in our own lives.
Living in harmony with the seasons that transform the nature around us, can help us cultivate a deeper understanding of ourselves, and help us lead a more meaningful life.
Ecotherapy has a deep and prosperous history within the psychotherapeutic traditions, and its importance today lies in its value to complement a holistic approach to therapeutic mental health treatment.
Being with nature as a tool for healing.
Ecotherapy recognises that through our connection with natural green spaces, nature has the ability to nurture us, and we can match this healing contact by nurturing nature.
Over the last decades poor mental health and chronic stress have substantially increased across the globe, with research indicating that nature can improve mental health. By losing contact with natural ecosystems people forget about the importance of nature to well-being.
Ecotherapy includes a range of re-connective practices which reconstruct the therapeutic frame in an outdoor setting and/or utilise the natural environment. Ecotherapy strives to form a platform that provides beneficial effects for humans and for nature where both have an effect upon the other, and it is the reciprocal relational aspect that are part of the therapeutic journey.

Walk & Talk Therapy
Walk & Talk Therapy offers a gentle, reflective approach to counselling, combining the benefits of movement, fresh air, and nature with therapeutic conversation. Walking side by side can create a sense of ease, making it easier to open up, process emotions, and gain clarity.
I offer Walk & Talk sessions in natural settings around Painswick, allowing clients to experience the grounding and restorative effects of being outdoors. Whether you're struggling with stress, anxiety, grief, or life difficulties, this approach can provide a unique way to explore your thoughts and feelings in a relaxed, open environment.
Sessions are adapted to your pace and comfort level - whether that’s a slow walk, sitting on a bench, or simply pausing to connect with nature. If you’re interested in experiencing therapy outside of the traditional room setting, feel free to get in touch to discuss how Walk & Talk Therapy might work for you.
